清迈动物园：完整一日游
动物园是轻松的一日游选择：3到12岁儿童120泰铢，成人350泰铢，每天入园人数上限2000人。如果你是为熊猫而来，那就别去了，因为熊猫馆门票已取消。
按喂食时间安排一天最省力：上午到，看表演，下午休息。水豚喂食10:00到12:00，鹿喂食10:00到15:00，大象喂食13:00到15:00。淡水隧道表演在10:30，海洋隧道表演在11:00。
热天下午孩子走不动，就买观光车票：成人60泰铢，身高135厘米以下儿童40泰铢，覆盖13个站点。车每15到20分钟一班，孩子可以随时上下。观光车运行时间是8.30到17.00。自驾的话，汽车停车50泰铢；不买观光车票，也可以租高尔夫球车，每小时350泰铢。
水族馆和SnowBuddy WinterLand是单独门票：水族馆儿童350泰铢、成人450泰铢，SnowBuddy身高135厘米以下儿童450泰铢、成人500泰铢。

诗琳通公主天文公园：免费的太空展览
想免费玩一个太空上午，展览不收费，周二至周五9:00到16:00，周六和周日10:00到17:00。周一别去，因为天文馆和展览都闭馆。
天文馆有17米的全天域球幕，160个座位。演出在周二至周五11:00和14:00，周六加一场17:00，门票普通票50泰铢、学生票30泰铢。想看英文场次的话，英文节目只在周五11:00。电话预订(+66) 84-0882261，或LINE @narit.astropark。
11月到5月，每周六18:00到22:00有免费观星，园区周围的步道上有太阳系模型，适合带孩子散步。

Bouncetopia：8岁以下的充气城堡
下雨天带8岁以下孩子，就去Central Chiangmai三楼的Bouncetopia。1小时140泰铢，一般玩1到3小时。身高65厘米以下儿童免费入场，65到80厘米需要Baby票，80厘米以上需要Junior票。7岁及以下儿童全程需成人看护。
开放时间是周一至周四11:00到20:00，周五至周日10:00到21:00，超时10到30分钟加收50泰铢。想玩蹦床锻炼的话就别去这里，那是50FLY!。袜子、婴儿车和食物规定见室内游乐指南。

孩子想蹦跳的话，Free Time场次1小时300泰铢，成人和5岁以上儿童都可参加。想玩一整个雨天，700泰铢的日票可以用任何开放的区。5岁以下有Toddler Time，1小时300泰铢，一名儿童加一名家长。必须穿防滑袜。

Art in Paradise：躲雨拍照一小时

大象自然公园 (Elephant Nature Park)的半日早晨行程，3–11岁收费1,250泰铢，0–2岁收费625泰铢。行程13:00结束，返程车程1小时。不允许推婴儿车，预约在出发前24小时截止。ChangChill的全日项目，10岁以下儿童收费1,800泰铢。BEES不接待10岁以下儿童。

Staying near Loi Kroh Road with Kids? We are staying in Chiang Mai with three kids ages 6 to 11 and just realized that we're staying on Loi Kroh Road (The Erawan Condos) which we've learned is the red light district of Chiang Mai. This sounds concerning since we will be with children, but after looking at Google maps street view it didn't look overly bad. Can any local folks comment on if this is an OK location with children?

Unless you're hyper conservative types, I think you'll be fine on Loi Kroh Rd. It's low key compared to similar places in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, etc. I've seen many tourists families walk along there with kids, since it's a main route through to the Night Bazaar.

If you're a man walking alone, at worst some of the massage girls will call out "Hello! Massage?" If you're walking with kids, they won't do this. If you're walking with your partner they won't do this. So, don't imagine aggressive ladies or "streetwalkers." There are none.

There is only a handful of bars between the Night Bazaar and the Iron Bridge section where you are staying and none of them are bar girl bars. And even if you did walk further up Loi Kroh towards the old city, "red light" is a stretch - it's not like Pattaya or Patong in Phuket where it's in your face and there are also major hotels along the road as well. Nothing to worry about.

We just stayed at the Erawan last month. It's a nice complex with a pool for the kids. All the comments here provide good advise. You won't have a problem

Travelling with kids in a few days - is it a good idea? Hello, I just wanted to know how the situation has been so far and if it’s a good idea to travel with kids to Thailand in a few days (one is an infant and the other is 5). We will be spending a few days in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket. We’re so excited for the trip but nervous since all I’ve been seeing is floods and rescue all over my social media. Of course I know in many instances people do it for the views and so I thought to ask those in Thailand right now how it situation is and if there’s any of these three place I should avoid/change to be safe. Thank you so much for your thoughts and comments in advance.

Do not worry Floods have ravaged the deep south (close to the border with Malaysia). Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket are far away.

Yeah Bangkok and Chiang Mai are totally fine, been getting normal weather here. The flooding stuff you're seeing is way down south near Malaysia like the other person said. Phuket might get some rain but nothing crazy - just pack an umbrella and you'll be golden with the kids

Okay so, keywords are expat and family friendly, so I assume that you want a place that has access to western convenience that is not *not* family friendly: Chiang Rai if you like less people than Chiang Mai. Lamphun is also popular for those prefering quiet life and not being too far from Chiang Mai. If you like Bangkok, maybe try Thonburi (the other half of Bangkok on the west side of the river) or a bit to the east like Bang Kapi. Further west there's Salaya in Buddhamonthon in Nakhon Pathom, which is not far from Bangkok (Thonburi side), though it's a bit loud because of Mahidol Uni in the community. If you like the south of Thailand, Phuket is another place to consider. Just don't venture to Patong.
