Will I have an issue at immigration?
I have a trip booked for 50 days from the beginning of October to November.
With the new visa changes from 60 to 30 days, I was wondering if I'll have issues with immigration, I fully plan to get an extension in-country. My problem is that the TDAC will show that I am staying for 50 days with no valid visa and worried I will get denied at immigration.
I had a similar situation before, but it was before the TDAC was implemented, got in no problem, and just extended.
My record in Thailand is clean. Never had issues with overstay or denial. I was also never asked to provide proof of return flight before. I just feel more anxious than before.

For some reason in my country I need to go physically to the thai embassy to pay for it which is a hassle.
Moreover, they ask for accommodations for the full 50 days. I only booked 2 nights in Bangkok and that's it, I usually don't plan a full itinerary for my trips.
When extending in Thailand they never asked for accommodations for the full stay.

You are supposed to have a flight-out within the 30 days for your initial entry. You could get a refundable one and later cancel it. you can still get an extension.

You are going in with the intention to stay longer than the visa permits you
You are not going there for thirty days and then circumstances change and you then decide to apply to extend
Either:
- apply for an appropriate visa or
- do not plan to stay longer than 30 days, have an onward flights that is scheduled before 30 days is up, and complete TDAC on that basis
After all, there is no guarantee that you can get an extension if/when you apply in country

Yes because you will have 30 days. So book a flight out before then. You can apply for extension the last week of your 30 days to stay longer

You can extend when you are already in the country. You don’t have to show your departure flights to the immigration department or TDAC, I did not add it as I did not know when I am leaving.

My DTV (remote worker) was approved by the embassy in Paris. Took about three weeks.
I submitted a bank statement and a consultant contract with my biggest client, which stated the work would be conducted remotely. That's it.
What makes my case noteworthy is I've been living and working in Thailand for 6 years. No issue getting approved whatsoever.

Hi, has anybody applied for DTV visa from the Netherlands? Can you confirm how the process went and what additional documents were asked, in case different from what is mentioned on the website?
I intend to add: photo, passport, freelance status/company registration, bank statement, employment letter (issuing to self as I am zzp). Do you think one needs to submit a client contract also or anything else? Thank you.
