泰国逾期停留罚款：每天500泰铢、禁止入境与机场
逾期停留每天罚500泰铢，最高20,000泰铢，逾期满40天就到上限。在检查站自首的话，只有逾期超过90天才禁止入境，期限为1年。逾期90天以内、离境前缴清罚款，就不会被禁止入境。如果被逮捕，可能面临5年禁令。

如果停留超过了获准的天数，罚款是每天500泰铢，最高20,000泰铢。之后是否被禁止入境，取决于你怎么离境。如果在检查站自首，只有逾期超过90天才禁止入境。如果是被逮捕，不管逾期多久都会禁止入境。

逾期满40天就到20,000泰铢的上限。

《移民法》规定了法律上限：监禁、罚款，或两者并罚。合并文本中第81条没有改动。
第81条：任何外国人未经许可，或许可已到期、被吊销，仍停留在王国境内的，处不超过2年的监禁，或不超过20,000泰铢的罚款，或两者并罚。 《移民法》佛历2522年（1979年），第81条，最初颁布时的英文文本
如果只逾期几个小时，你在出境盖章时向官员说明，罚款通常会免掉。没有规定这么写，所以还是带好现金。
如果先被官员查到，交不出罚款或逾期时间很长的话，可能会被关进监狱。逾期几次之后，你的护照可能被盖上违反泰国移民法律法规的章，把你标为“不受欢迎的外国人”。清迈入境管理局确实会巡查，并以停留许可已到期的罪名逮捕逾期停留者。
禁止入境
泰国内政部第1/2558号命令依据《移民法》第16条设定了这些禁令。该命令不适用于在满十八岁之前就离境的人。
在检查站自首
逾期90天以内，不适用任何一档禁令；离境前缴清罚款，之后也不会被禁止入境。

被逮捕
被逮捕的各档没有90天的下限，所以就算只是短期逾期被官员查到，也不在以上“不禁止入境”的规则范围内。

在机场或边境缴费
离境前缴清，机场是最方便的地方。在机场，你向入境官员说明原因，他会让你去附近的柜台缴费。带够能付清全部罚款的现金，因为筹到钱之前你可能被关在拘留室里。
从陆路离境也一样：陆路口岸、海港口岸和机场都是可以自首并缴费的检查站。没有找到陆路通关的详细步骤。

避免逾期：在停留期结束前延期
免签入境的人可以申请最多30天的停留延期。要在获准停留期结束前申请，因为批不批由官员决定。
- 费用是1,900泰铢。
- 表格是TM.7，要贴一张照片。
- 在你居住地所属的入境管理局办理。

Flight delays led me to getting a 1 day overstay stamp. Can it cause problems? I recently had a great two month trip to Thailand - but my connecting flight Chiang Mai - Bangkok was 3 hours delayed on my final day, cuasing me to miss check in for my flight out of Bangkok, and needing to take the next flight out next morning, a day after permit expiration. I received an overstay stamp despite trying to explain, but no fine. I’ve been hearing about Thailand tightening up immigration - is there any chance this will make it harder to return in the future? I want to return next year, possibly for even longer stays.

Its 500thb a day fine, if you show your original booking you might be ok

I overstayed 1 day about a year ago. I was sent over to a counter, just over from immigration at the airport, where I had a typed written page in Thai explaining why I overstayed. They did stamp my passport as overstayed but no fine. I have been back to Thailand twice and no entry problems at all.

For 20 years, I’ve understood, crystal-clear, that if caught on even a 1-day overstay, it can land you in a detention center (nightmare on its own), and possibly deportation. Because of that, I start my visa extension process a month early, do all my 90-day reports on time, and always carry at least a copy of my passport, etc. To do any less, is flirting with disaster for anyone who wants to enjoy life in Thailand. The guy was dealt his just karma.

I had one day overstay once because I was leaving on the last day of my extension stamp. Thai immigration officers at the Malaysian borders refused to let me LEAVE Thailand because they were concerned I would immediately come back, and if I did, they wouldn't stamp me back in. They had some VVIP visitors that day and didn't want to deal with foreigners, I got unlucky, normally people went through that immigration checkpoint without issues. Had to drive back and find a flight the next day but had ~18 hours of overstay at that point... The officers at the airport acted like I'm some big criminal lol. So yeah, sometimes shit happens...
