如果你坐班办公、想家门口就有商场，就住宁曼：Hub53 日票195泰铢，One Nimman 每天11:00–21:00营业。想要步行街就选古城，但先问清楚内涝情况。办日常杂事选桑蒂探，不过昌郭是三个区里雾霾最重的。

宁曼：办公桌和商场
如果你坐办公桌上班，或者想家门口就有商场，宁曼适合你。Hub53 日票195泰铢，Life Space 每天9:00–22:00营业，One Nimman 每天11:00–21:00营业。
如果你周末要在 Hub53 办公，就换个地方，它周六周日不营业；想22:00以后逛夜市也一样。另一个问题是雾霾：Suthep 雾霾最重时超过37.5的限值。

宁曼居住指南里有共享办公空间、商场和租约的信息。
古城：步行街和市场
想要市场和小寺庙，古城是首选。瓦洛洛市场每天6:00–18:00营业，周六步行街市场在 69 Wua Lai Road，契迪龙寺 (Wat Chedi Luang) 每天8:00–17:00开放。想办公的话，Alt_ChiangMai共享工位每天220泰铢起，灵活工位每月4,000泰铢起。
如果你担心内涝，就换个地方。南边的 Haiya 和 Wualai 社区总是最先淹、淹得最重，Chang Khlan Road 和 Night Bazaar 一带曾被超过1米深的水淹过。如果周日需要工位，也别选这里，因为 Alt_ChiangMai 的日票和周票只在周一到周六有效。如果你想在 Rachadamnoen Road 附近过安静的周日晚上，这里也不合适，周日步行街的运行时间是17:00–22:30。Si Phum 的雾霾也重。

桑蒂探：办事和安静住处
如果你想有个大商场方便办事，桑蒂探适合你：MAYA 在 Huay Kaew Road 55/5号，营业时间10:00–22:00。One Workspace 在 29 Hussadhisawee Soi 4 有分店，日票249泰铢，30天票3,599泰铢、全天24小时可进。红色双条车每人30泰铢。
如果你担心雾霾，就换个地方。昌郭是三个区里最重的，3月高峰期连续四天处于红色级别、超过标准。
桑蒂探居住指南里有医院、紧急电话和租约的信息。
噪音和夜生活
从关门时间最能看出每个区晚上热闹到几点。宁曼最先安静下来，One Nimman 夜市区22:00关门。古城更晚：周日步行街开到22:30，周六 Wua Lai 市场17:00开门，Night Bazaar 午夜关门。桑蒂探有 Huay Kaew Road 上的 Kad Na Mor 夜市。
如果你更在意办公时的噪音，古城的 Alt_ChiangMai 有隔音的共享工位房间，宁曼的 Yellow Coworking 有隔音电话亭。
去机场
A1 机场巴士全程40泰铢，沿 Nimmanhaemin Road、Huay Kaew Road 开到城壕 (City Moat)。A2 也是40泰铢，经 Mahidol Road 和 Night Bazaar。RTC 24路经过宁曼、昌郭、瓦洛洛市场、塔佩门和 Wualai Road。
机场接驳车站位于国际航站楼1层，每天07:00–00:00运行。如果你落地更晚，Grab 上车点24小时开放。雨季时，Pa Phrao Nok 社区附近的 Mahidol Road 会积水。
怎么选
- 主要工作是坐班办公：宁曼，Hub53 每天195泰铢。
- 市场和步行街：古城，记得向房东问内涝。
- 去 MAYA 办事：桑蒂探。
- 想躲开雾霾：三个区都不干净，所以签一份跨2月到4月的租约前，先看烧山季指南。

Nimman vs old town 1 month digital nomad I am planning to stay in CM in November for a workcation for one month. I've been to CM before and stayed one week in old city which I really loved. I spend one day in Nimman as well which looked really trendy and with lots of coffee places and restaurants but I didnt stay there enough to get a good feeling of the place so now I'm lost :) I am considering staying in Nimman because I heard the digital nomad community is resides mostly there but staying only one month I doubt I will build very long friendships there anyway. Also I heard it can be noisy with airplanes. My case for staying in old town is that I think theres still a lot of culture to explore in CM and Old City just feels like the heart of it. I also have good memories of the live music bars there but then again I dont really know Nimman that well. So for a month stay should I just stay in Old City for the convenience of it or is Nimman still worth it for a month? Many thanks :)

I lived in Nimman for years, I liked it but don’t think I ever did much there and spent most of my time in the OC, which has much more going on, better food, gyms etc

This time of year it adds 40k plus students and all that comes with that. Then add in CMRU thats adds several thousands more as well. Some fun shops / cafes / restaurants about for sure and worth dipping in and out yet it's ground zero traffic hell as well if living in that area. Some folks like that. Others don't. Imo, personal call on your part.

Santitham for 2 months Hello. Hope everyone is having a good day. I’ve been coming to Chiang Mai since 2011 and I’ve always stayed in nimman. I’ve always wanted to stay in Santitham for a change and also my favorite yakiniku is there. I was wondering if someone can recommend a place I can rent for 2 months. Budget is around 3500 baht. Possible? Criteria is just the obvious clean, safe, good WiFi, etc. I don’t need a gym or pool. Anyway if I don’t get a place there this time, I still will come here since it’s just more to my liking in terms of atmosphere. Thanks in advance.

3500 is possible for a room without air con. Possibly even one with air con but they might markup the elctric rate more than double which could cause your electric to cost close to the rent haha

3500 was what i paid in 2018. You have to look around and ask. No way they need to advertise that price. That is a word of mouth, gone in 60 sec type of place

If you require a clean safe place with aircon in Santitham the start price is 5000 baht per month. Have a look along Morakot Road and Santitham Road and some sois running off these. There are about a dozen places in this precinct that rent to both farang and locals from 1 month at a time to yearly. Its a digital nomad hotspot and food is cheep being a student hang out.

One of my Thai friends lives in a dormitory building, and in a studio room. Her rent is more than your budget. And it’s not in a trendy area either. Another one of my Thai friends lives in what’s basically a tenement building on the outskirts of the city, and she pays 3,800 per month. Where are you expecting to get this rate from? Especially if even Thai folks pay more than that for locally owned and inhabited buildings?

The cheapest rooms at Huay Kaew Residence are 3,500 per month. But you need to rent them for 6 months to get that price. If they do monthly on those rooms, it'll be at least 1,000 more.
