清迈医疗旅游：价格、签证与保险
在清迈看病，先要一份书面估价，因为医院卖的是套餐，不是挂号费。曼谷医院清迈分院（Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai）的16项体检是6,900泰铢，泰国人和在当地生活的外国人价格相同。停留不到60天办旅游医疗签证，超过60天办非移民O签证，并且要准备现金押金。

在清迈看病要多少钱？
私立“医疗旅游”医院在泰国属于价格偏高的一档，但通常远低于欧洲或西方的价格。医院网站上标的是套餐和病房价格，不是挂号费，所以第一次就诊前先要一份书面估价。病房价格和押金见清迈医院费用。
曼谷医院清迈分院套餐

体检包含医生费，但不含额外专科医生，也不含医生增加的治疗和药物。至少提前3天预约。
更便宜和更贵的体检
Rajavej起价更低：12项Standard套餐1,290泰铢，28项Diamond套餐7,590泰铢。Chiangmai Ram的Standard体检是3,300泰铢，胃镜18,000泰铢，肠镜28,000泰铢。Rajavej体检台每天08:00–16:00开放，电话052-011999转111。完整价目表见清迈医院费用。
曼谷医院清迈分院——国际部和创伤中心
想要国际部就从这里开始。它的International Medical Services团队为海外患者服务，可以协调其他医院、保险公司和领事馆，并提供中文、法语、日语、韩语和缅甸语翻译，另有24种语言可通过电话提供。

怎么查医院的认证？
Healthcare Accreditation Institute (HAI)的注册表列出每家医院的证书及起止日期。Rajavej和McCormick持有当前有效的泰国认证，但Maharaj Nakorn、Chiangmai Ram和Lanna最近一栏的认证已经到期，所以请这三家出示当前的证书。

曼谷医院清迈分院持有Joint Commission International金印认证，已续期至2027年。
看病用哪种签证？
按停留时间选：60天以内，选就医旅游签证；超过60天，选就医非移民O签证。各国材料不同，还要看你本国大使馆的清单。至少提前15个工作日在线申请。
有些大使馆要病历或在泰国医院的预约确认，还要医院出具的说明就医目的和停留超过60天的信。非移民O签证列明有效期90天、停留不超过90天。另一些则要执业医生证明和泰国医疗机构的邀请函。
免签入境的情况
60个国家和地区的公民可免签以旅游目的停留最多30天，而免签只限旅游，所以为就医专程入境属于灰色地带（见“未确认”）。免签入境者可以申请延期，最多30天。是否批准由移民官决定，而且要在允许停留期满前申请。
费用是1,900泰铢。到你居住地所属的入境管理局办理。在清迈是Suthep的Sanam Bin（机场）路71 Moo 3，外国人事务科电话053 201 755转20。详见清迈入境管理局 (Chiang Mai Immigration Office)。
落地签入境者一般不能延期，除非因病情无法旅行等特殊情况。DTV也签发给就医等活动。就医停留的延期，在你入境泰国后由入境管理局办理。
押金、担保、保险和回国
自费的话，私立医院通常会要求先交现金押金。所有医院在治疗前都要求付款担保，在公立和私立医院都必须出示护照。曼谷医院清迈分院按入院时的病房等级收押金，手术或检查前会要求提供全部预估费用。
保险报销的问题，打给你的保险公司，或打医院第三方付款服务部的052-089-844。多数私立医院有国际联络员，可以对接保险公司。曼谷医院清迈分院公布了合作的保险公司名单，包括Allianz Worldwide Care、Cigna和GeoBlue Travel Insurance，也接受TRICARE Overseas Program和Foreign Medical Program。美国军人、退役人员、老兵及家属可以在Rajavej使用TRICARE和FMP。
急救时，1669热线免费，通常把你送到最近的可用医院；私立医院有自己的救护车，通常收费。免费急救计划（UCEP）在最近的医院覆盖危重病人，最长72小时，送到医院后不得拒绝治疗。作为外国人，要预计医院会向你的人寿、健康或旅行保险追讨危重急救费用。
保留收据和病历给保险公司，并且一定要买旅行保险。泰国国民健康制度只面向泰国公民。
离开时，问航空公司是否需要适航证明（Fit to Fly Certificate）。如果需要，就找主治医生开，医生不一定会主动给。在泰国，完整病历不总是现成的，所以出院前要由你或亲属向医院索取。

Medical Tourism I live in the UK and will be spending some time in Thailand (mostly Chiang Mai) next year. I suffer from several chronic illnesses and am wondering what the healthcare is like out there? Are there English-speaking private hospitals that offer high quality care, where I can get tests and treatments? If so, what are the costs like?

Doctors here at private (and good public) speak English, some even in perfect native. Service and process are much much much much better than in the UK if you go private, more like spa/wellness approach which is amazing For treatment, it’s great. You just have to find the right doctor for your particular case, just like any other places in the world. Some might be miss, not all hit. Cost will be high if you go private. A doctor visit is about 2000 baht at the most expensive one. But if you just want to maintain your chronic, not going for major treatment, it’s not that bad. I suggest go to Bangkok Hospital in Chiangmai

Unless you're relocating there it would be worth checking if your current provider could do a video call appointments while you're out of the country or write you a letter and prescription that you can give to a provider in Thailand. Finding a good doctor to treat your chronic illness is hard enough anywhere in the world thats why continuing with the same provider is worth looking into. As for treatments, there are plenty of clinics that operate accessible services, there is less need for doctor referals, you can pay up front, these are mostly in Bangkok and the prices vary a lot

Spontaneous medical tourism So I noticed all the dental and cosmetic surgery places everywhere in Chiang Mai yesterday. Now I don't know about any serious surgery, but I have had this mole on the side of my face that has been bugging me for years. I always scratch it, but it's nothing serious. Anyways I thought, why not? I Googled some places near by and just walked in to the best looking cosmetic surgery places. They had a book with set prices and I paid in cash. Took 30 minutes and I had the annoying mole removed by laser. It was 350 baht. Now I'm thinking about going to the dentist, LOL.

Well, partly I live in the US and I can't afford insurance right now. So the same thing there would cost me like $500. 350 baht, that's like...$11.

My only concern would be going to a place where the doctor is not very good with English and having some communication issues - I do not speak Thai

If you actually have any need of a dentist, I AM here in Thailand on a Medical Tourism trip, and it's for dentistry. I am halfway thru my visits, with seven cavities filled plus a deep cleaning (2.5 hours of work), for 8900 baht. Which translates to exactly $264.09 for what I exchanged my money for. Back in California, I'd expect more along the line of about $1200ish for that much work. The place I went to is Smile Dentist, the Siam outlet, which is insanely easy to get to via the BTS. I greatly enjoyed the ease of communication with these ladies (all four people I dealt with were ladies that understood English well, ESPECIALLY the Dentist who has a nickname Many). I am deaf, and Many wrote down everything very well and extremely informative so I was knowing what was happening, etc. I also feel like you can't see the work they did, Many did that good of a job with the fillings. I will be leaving a 5/5 star review for these folks.
