No, there shouldn't be, but you have to cancel your visa legally. Once you do that, go home and come back, and then talk to the place (your new school), have them prepare the documents, leave Thailand to apply, and come back with a new Non-B.

Work permit agency to help school?
Does anyone know of an agency that guides schools through the process of obtaining non b visas and work permits for their foreign teachers?
I've worked at several schools in Thailand before and they have always sorted the non b visa and work permit for me. I recently started a new job and the school told me I need to find an agency because they don't know how to do it. The school said they are happy to help me with a visa/work permit but they need guidance. I know there are lots of agencies that provide visa support, but I'm looking for one specifically that offers support to Thai employers. Thanks!

Most any visa agency will offer this. Imo, google or ChatGPT it out then have your top 3 choices come to your school and have the Thai staff interview and make a choice on who they want to work with.
This will keep the burden on them plus the additional costs for the services.

Place to get medical cert. for work permit quick without blood test?
My visa agency just told me I need to get this done today because there’s a government holiday on Friday. I really hate needles and since I’m in a hurry, I’d like to get this done as quickly as possible today. In Bangkok I used to go to a place that did all of the basic stuff except for a blood test and it was fine for the work permit requirements. Is there a place like that in Chiang Mai? Thank you for your time.

Thanks guys. I just went with McCormick since it was on my way. Unfortunately I still had to get the blood test but it was the best nurse I’ve ever dealt with. Probably the quickest and most gentle drawing of blood I’ve experienced. I would recommend for anyone who hates blood tests as much as I do. Unfortunately it takes up to an hour and a half to get the results so it may not be as quick as other options. Cheap though.. only 270 baht.
