Sightseeing

18/May/2008 (Doi Inthanon)
T
his is the highest mountain in Thailand rising some 2,599 metres above sea level. Doi Inthanon is a national park spanning approximately 500 square kilometers including 3 towns which are Jom-tong, Sun-pa-tong and Mea-jam all in Chiangmai province.  Doi Inthanon is about 106km from Chiang Mai city and the road on the mountain is quite steep so you will have to make sure that your car is in good condition to reach the summit. If you don't have  car you can get taxi or the red car service to get up there. There are so many places of interest and things to see and do on the way. more

Hot Restaurants

22/Jan/2008 (Baan-din restaurant, Chiangmai)
This is one of the coolest restaurants of the month!
This place is called Baan-Din which means the mud house. This whole restaurant is built from mud! So exciting isn't it!!! But wait...this gorgeous restaurant also offers some beautiful food with healthy recipes.
I found out about this place on my last trip back home. I went in for lunch one day with a group of friends and I couldn't believe what was on offer here. The food was just so nice being a mix of local Thai and Japanese dishes. Located inside the Chiang Mai University Art Museum the atmosphere is very bohemian and popular with Chiang Mai locals and the Japanese ex pat community. You will feel like your sitting in a restaurant outside the city whilst you’re actually right in the heart of
the Nimmanheimin Road. more.
