Review / Things to do : I'm been to Doi Suthep several times already. This place always known as  the most famous tourist attraction in Chiang Mai. If you go to Chiang Mai you kind of "have to" go to Doi Suthep and visit the big temple called "Wad Phra-tad Doi suthep". It's so cool to look around and observe the Thai culture! Wad phra-tad Doi Suthep is famous for the longest staircase that goes up to the actual temple itself. It's lovely and pleasant to walk up there. You can see the view of Chiang Mai and enjoy the exercise at the same time. However, if you are not a walking person like me here is a better choice for you.  The temple offers the service lifts to go up which doesn't cost much, and with this service you will be there in just a few seconds.

Once you get up there you can enjoy yourself with the beautiful view of Chiang Mai city and check out what locals do in the temple.

When is the best time to go : All year round (If you like weather to be a bit cooler you might like to go around December-January)

Tips : Make sure you have long pants/skirt on to respect the temple otherwise you can hire them there.
