Review
:
Baan-Din-Dee is located in
the Art Museum of Chiang Mai University and is very popular
with the Japanese expat community and local Thai’s alike. You
will find this charming little restaurant in the corner
near the main building as soon as you drive in. The
whole building is built from mud giving it the arty look
which fits in with the creative atmosphere of the arts
Museum. The food is also great specializing in Japanese
and also Thai dishes! When I was there with friends we
had quite a few vegetarian dishes as one of my friends
is into her vegetarian diet. I'm not usually big on
vegetarian lunches but surprisingly, I loved all the
food we ordered. We had Japanese style chick pea curry,
lentil special and clear beancurd soup. Followed with
these yummy desserts that I just love so much. So if you
are looking for something different for a change, try
this place out.
Note
that there is also many Thai / Japanese meat based
dishes on the menu. Parking is also very easy as the
restaurant adjoins the spacious university car park.
